Dennis Fundytus

Dennis is a Retired Family Physician who originally moved to Cochrane in 1978. He is a graduate of the University of Alberta Medical School in 1975. He then went on to complete a Family Practice Residency at Foothills Hospital in 1977. As part of his medical career in Cochrane, he taught medical residents, worked in the Foothills Emergency Department, did obstetrics, and assisted surgeons in the operating room. He also had admitting privileges for his own patients in Internal Medicine at Foothills.

Dennis was one of the founding physicians of the Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network. Dennis, along with Brian Winter, was instrumental in lobbying the Town of Cochrane to start their own ambulance service in 1983.

He is proud to be a member of the Cochrane and Area Health Foundation and looks forward to working toward improving HEALTH Care services in Cochrane and Area.
